August 14th, 2009 No comments

Here is a short review of Komli Media‘s audience measurement service Vizisense.com

The easiest way for an India based web startup to know the visitors demographics and audience characteristics is to use Vizisense.com

We can look up the details of most of the popular sites in India by visiting vizisense.com

For more accurate traffic details and for getting listed in vizisense.com(if you are too small), add a small Javascript script to every pages of your website.  Read vizisense methodology.

The following data are available from vizisense.com

Demographic Data

  • Gender
  • Age
  • Marital Status
  • Income
  • Education

Traffic Data

  • Geography
    • Top Cities
    • Top States
    • Countries
  • Site Visits
    • Page Views
    • Visits
    • Unique Users

See the traffic and demographic details of Bikes4Sale.in

Once you sign in you can add the Advertising and Sales information of your website which will be available for advertisers. And for advertisers, you can create different advertising plans using vizisense Media Mix.

Pluspoints : Very very easy to use (even better than Google Analytics). Gives an overall information about the website without digging deep into minor details. For small publishers, vizisense data can be added to their media kit. Advertisers can easily find the best sites based on category and target group.

Drawbacks : Sometimes the vizisense tags increase the page load times.  They do not provide any information about the users browsers and operation systems. And the product is still a little buggy.  May be thats why it is still in beta.

And they publish the Top Sites in India across different categories every month.
